a mountain with snow

I’m Grant DeCecco, over the last 20 years, I’ve led transformations in healthcare, public sector, and technology, and guided startups from launch to acquisition. I’m driven by the challenge of turning complexity into clarity and delivering outcomes that matter.

Guiding Teams to the Summate

My Journey

I started my career in technology and consulting, working with organizations like TELUS, Change Healthcare, SAP, and Make Technologies. I’ve led large-scale programs, built PMOs from the ground up, and rescued failing projects. Along the way, I discovered my sweet spot: combining structure with agility, helping people and processes work together for success.

I’ve worked in boardrooms negotiating multi‑million‑dollar rescues, in hospitals aligning clinical workflows, and with startups scaling fast toward acquisition. Each chapter taught me the same truth—technology succeeds when people and process lead the way.

Projects That Made a Difference

Over the course of my career, I’ve had the opportunity to lead projects across diverse industries and organizational contexts. While each engagement offered its own lessons, the projects below stand out as defining accomplishments—initiatives where strategy, delivery, and collaboration came together to create lasting impact.

  • PMO Maturity Program: I led an 18 month maturity transformation of a provincial health authority’s PMO, selecting and implementing OnePlan as the enterprise SPM tool. We integrated Agile, Hybrid, and Waterfall delivery models, standardized governance, and delivered portfolio-wide visibility with Power BI dashboards.

  • Cardiology & Radiology Workflow Program: At McKesson, I designed and delivered a multi-country clinical workflow assessment program, creating the Imaging Scorecard in collaboration with radiologists and McKenzie Consulting. The program improved operational efficiency across 25+ hospitals by benchmarking best practices and prioritizing improvements.

  • SAP PCM Project Rescue: I recovered an 18‑month stalled SAP PCM implementation for a global tech provider, renegotiating scope, budget, and schedule into a $5.5M rescue contract. We delivered 50+ technical remediations, met performance KPIs, and restored executive confidence while integrating PCM with C/4HANA and ECC.

  • Women’s Health Clinic, Addis Ababa: As a volunteer, I laid the groundwork for a women’s health clinic in Ethiopia by working with a team to identify suitable facilities, sourcing supplies, engage with ethiopian government, and worked with local doctors. I negotiated and signed memorandums of understanding to align all parties, setting the foundation for the clinic to launch and serve its community.

What Drives Me

I create supportive, agile teams where trust runs high and results matter more than bureaucracy.

My passion extends beyond client work—I serve on the executive board of the Vancouver PMO Community, teach introductory project management courses, and mentor new PMs through the PMI mentorship program.

FisherPeak Management — The Name & the Vision

When I took my first consulting contract, I needed to incorporate. Sitting on my parents’ patio in Cranbrook, BC, I looked out at the Rocky Mountains and saw Fisher Peak—the tallest in the range. It’s a challenging climb, but the view from the summit is worth every step. That moment defined how I see my work: the path may be steep, but the reward is worth it.

FisherPeak AI — Clarity Over Hype

FisherPeak AI is my personal exploration of how AI and ML can elevate project and people management. After decades in delivery leadership, I’m fascinated by how AI is reshaping decision‑making, governance, and the human skills that matter most.

I share practical strategies, real‑world use cases, and lessons learned from embedding AI into PMOs and HR functions. From governance frameworks to workflow automation, my goal is simple—help leaders adopt AI responsibly, without losing sight of the people who make projects succeed.

Podcast Appearance

I recently joined The Practical Prompt podcast to explore what AI in project management really looks like in practice—beyond buzzwords and quick fixes. In this conversation, I share lessons from enterprise turnarounds and PMO transformations, along with practical methods for risk detection, governance guardrails, and measuring ROI from AI adoption.

The episode also covers the human side of delivery leadership, from executive sponsorship to building trust in AI-augmented decisions.

My Invitation

If you’re climbing your own “Fisher Peak” in delivery, governance, or AI adoption, let’s talk. I can help you map the route, avoid the cliffs, and enjoy the view from the top.
